Most central air conditioners use a split system whether it is a ductless system or a system using ductwork to circulate the air throughout the building. The main difference between a split system air conditioner using ductwork and those that don’t, is that the ductless system combines the luxury of whole-house cooling with the convenience of ‘spot cooling’.

Home with system

Ductless Systems require only a three inch opening to connect the indoor to the outdoor unit using refrigerant copper piping. Ductless Air Conditioning systems utilize an outdoor condensing unit.

Refrigerant lines, power, and control wiring run through a small three inch opening in your wall or ceiling.

The lines connect to the indoor unit which installs easily and discreetly. with out blocking windows.

Refrigerant flows in a loop between the indoor and outdoor unit. Heat is absorbed and expelled outside while the cooled air is blown into your home

Here is what some of our customers have said about our installations on the Ductless style systems.

July 14,2009

Your organization recently completed the installation of a Ductless heat pump system in our home. I would like to compliment each member of the team that worked on the planning, setup, installation and completion of the project. They have all proved knowledgeable of your products and they had the ability to show me they could do a great job. Each was a special help. From greeting, phone assistance, to spending quite a bit of time explaining the equipment and process, the the salesman prompt estimate and continued follow up, to the crew that did the installation. Each made me glad we choose HCH. Besides the professionalism shown by each, they were all part of the friendliest group of people that we have worked with in many a day. Each on the install crew made it a point of explaining what they were doing and what to expect. They even asked it they could assist by removing the now redundant window conditioners. We appreciate everything they did for us. The icing on the cake is that the equipment has lived up to the advertising and the personal endorsements from those involved.

Thank you so much for the ductless heat pump. It keeps me cool in the day time and toast warm in the early morning. Your service was quickly done and the pad outside is good looking and much more that I expected. Utility company came and inspected and said that you did your usual exceptional job.

One of the biggest advantages to a split system air conditioner is the significant reduction in noise from the condenser unit simply due to the fact that it is placed outside. They are also significantly more energy efficient in their operation than standard room air conditioners, especially in climates where homes or commercial buildings require a considerable amount of cooling for long summer months.
